Licensing
Kitewell is licensed by where workflows run: desktop runs on a person's PC, unattended runs on your servers or VMs with nobody signed in, or cloud runs on a VM Descarty hosts, combined with a platform to manage them as a company. People who build workflows need no license.
Run licenses
One company can combine them.
A person's PC
Desktop runs
¥50,000per computer per month (before tax)
Runs on a staff member's PC with their own sign-ins. Suits work a person starts, or scheduled runs while they are at their desk.
- Web, desktop, Excel, and email operations
- Scheduled runs
- Automatic updates, with no upgrade work
Your servers, VMs, or cloud
Unattended runs
Quotedby concurrent runs and setup
Runs on your servers, VMs in a closed network, or VMs in your Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud, with nobody signed in. Suits overnight batches and calls from other systems.
- Runs with nobody there
- Called by webhook, REST API, or MCP
- Runs in a closed network
A dedicated VM Descarty hosts
Cloud runs
Quotedby concurrent runs and setup
Descarty provides and operates a VM dedicated to you, so you can run unattended without preparing or maintaining servers.
- No servers to prepare
- Operates from a fixed source IP
- Descarty runs the VM
Management platform
The platform for running Kitewell as a company: every computer's runs and changes in one place, governed by roles and an audit log.
- Cloud edition
- Run by Descarty, ready to use with no setup.
- On-premises edition
- On your servers or in a closed network, so sync and management stay inside your environment.
Quoted for your setup
- One view of every computer's status, runs, and failures
- Assigning which workflows run on which computers
- Roles per project, and policies for which sites and apps workflows may use
- SSO (SAML) and automatic provisioning (SCIM)
- Export and long-term retention of an audit log of every change and run
- Separate development, test, and production environments, with promotion between them

- Demo and technical consultation
- No cost
- Connection test
- No cost. Reads and writes run against the target system to confirm it connects.
- One-month PoC

Frequently asked questions
- When do we use desktop runs, and when unattended runs?
- Work a person starts on their own PC, or that can run while they are at their desk, fits desktop runs. Overnight batches, calls from other systems, and work that should not use a staff PC fit unattended or cloud runs. One company can combine them.
- How are unattended runs priced?
- By how many run at the same time and where they run: your servers or VMs, a closed network, or a VM Descarty hosts. After the PoC shows the volume and timing, we quote the number you need.
- Do we need the management platform?
- Not to start with a few desktop runs. Add it when several departments or computers run Kitewell and you govern them with roles, an audit log, and SSO.
- Is AI model usage included?
- No. AI steps run on the model you choose, and you pay its provider under your own contract. A model on your own servers is also an option.
- Can we buy through a systems integrator?
- Yes. You can buy through a reseller or an SIer partner, and partners can build and run it for you.
